Primula Francesca is one of nature’s wonderful creations. It makes a robust plant of unusual but very attractive colouring. Mature plants will throw many spikes topped by umbels of lime green flowers with a conspicuous yellow centre creating a delightful effect.
Unlike most Primulas, many of which are short lived, this fascinating variety will bloom for up to four months from April until August. A dappled shaded position suits it best and a well drained moisture retentive soil. It looks most attractive dotted about in a narrow border and is very useful for planting in smaller containers.
